As promised when the Archdiocese of Detroit unveiled its disastrously and comically redesigned coat of arms the Archbishop has had his own coat of arms redesigned both to impale his personal arms with the new coat of arms of the See and to have a rendering in the same artistic style.

Reminds me of the felt banners that were de rigueur when I was a little boy in the 1980s – I think the bishop would censure a pastor who did not provide his flock with them. It went well with the St. Louis Jesuit’s guitar Mass…

Who draws or designs this things? This is completely horrible! As well the Rt Rev Bishop could have taken a Coca-Cola advertisement as his coat of arms. Markku Nicholas K. OblSB
