On January 30 the Most Rev. Antonio Napolioni will be ordained as the new Bishop of Cremona. His newly-adopted coat of arms (below) combines symbols of two popes he admires (the sun from the arms of Pope Francis and the fleur-de-lis from the arms of Bl. Paul VI), the rivers of Cremona and the mountains as a symbol of the journey of faith and, in particular, the Transfiguration. The motto, “Serve the Lord With Gladness” is from Psalm 99.
Thanks, Fr Guy.
