The national flag of South Africa (NOTE: I had originally written it was the coat of arms of South Africa but the South African state arms are a separate design entirely from the flag), used as a coat of arms by President Mandela when he had the Order of the Seraphim conferred on him by the King of Sweden.
May he rest in peace.
Sorry. You are incorrect here. South Africa never used this Heraldry design as State Arms for The Republic of South Africa. They are and where personal to the Late Mr Mandela.
Indeed it is the national flag. I have amended the text. However, this was never used as a personal coat of arms by Mandela. It was used to satisfy the need of the Order for something to display but Mandela did not use a personal coat of arms.
